As you journey towards the Atlas Mountains in your air-conditioned 4x4 or minivan, take in the panorama. Learn about alpine life and trek the beautiful Tizi n'Tichka pass, ascending to 7,415 feet (2,260 meters) along the way. View the enormous Anti-Atlas landscape beyond the pass, and trace historic trading routes that formerly connected Marrakech to the Sahara Desert.

Learn about the merchants who sold slaves and gold along the road as you journey past arid hills, fruit plantations, and time-honored communities. Arrive at Ait Benhaddou, noted for its well-preserved, UNESCO-listed kasbah, after around three hours.
